Typical Class

A typical Stillness Power class includes but is not limited to:

  • Warm up with micro exercises to facilitate sitting in meditative postures
  • Simple dynamic exercises with focus on mind calming, awareness of breath and bliss
  • Sun salutation (Specially taught for all ages and for people with challenged flexibility)
  • Vital but simple postures with emphasis on breath to target optimum functioning of vital internal organs
  • Breath Cleansing exercises followed by Pranayama-Breath Control techniques
  • Foundations for meditation followed by actual meditation attempts

The class is designed for the beginner to intermediate-level participant who has little to no prior exposure to classes like Yoga, Tai chi, Kung Fu, Aikido, etc. Experienced Yoga, Tai Chi, Vipassana or any other meditation practitioners may also benefit from subtle tips offered during some of the advanced techniques and meditation explorations. All programs are thoughtfully designed to bring the body, mind and spirit into alignment and harmony!

Note: We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes early to any class, wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat and water bottle. You should avoid eating 2 hours prior to the start of any class but if you must try to eat only light food.
